The purpose of the Orange County Substance Abuse Prevention Network is to promote and enhance the quality, quantity, coordination, and cooperation of positive youth development programs and prevention services in Orange County.

Alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, illiteracy, child and spousal abuse, guns, gangs, and dropouts are but a few of the closely interrelated challenges which continue to place our youth, families, and communities at risk. By shifting our focus to the strengths and competencies of youth and providing them more opportunities to develop those strengths, we are promoting their development into healthy, caring adults.

We, as individuals and agencies, believe that by joining together on these issues, collaborating, and combining strengths, we become a stronger team.
